Exclusive First Photo from MOTW WebSeries Episode, The Suspect

Posted by MarkOne on July 26, 2011 at 3:36 AM Comments comments (0)

Hey there.

On my last post, I mentioned that two episodes of the MOTW WebSeries -- "The Loner" and "The Suspect" were slated to begin production soon.

Well on Monday, July 25, one of the episodes, "The Suspect" began filming.

And here is an exclusive photo from the first day of production.

The photo above shows the lead character, played by Brian Joesph, kneeling over the body of his dead girlfriend. What happened that led to this scene? You're gonna have to wait a bit longer before you find that out.

From what I understand, the first day of filming went great, with more planned for later on this week. Keep checking back here for more updates on this episode, written by yours truly and directed by Shaun Robertson and his team from Films from MARS.  And watch for its world premiere coming soon.

New Logos for MOTW, New Look Website and New Episodes Update

Posted by MarkOne on July 24, 2011 at 2:03 AM Comments comments (0)

Hey there.

First of all, hope you like the new look of the Mark of the Wolf website. Among the changes is officially including the MOTW Webseries as part of the masthead above. With all the news involving upcoming episodes and the like, adding it to the site name was an obvious choice.

Next up,  as you see up above, these are the newest versions of the Mark of the Wolf logos The top one represents the MOTW movie (and the MOTW universe), while the bottom one is for the MOTW WebSeries.

My friend Bobby from Waveride Entertainment designed these logos, as he has had done for MOTW (and MarkOne Films) since the concept came together over three years ago. As he mentioned on the MOTW Facebook page, he figured that he "should do a huge update to that really low resolution logo we had before. With all the involvement and serious participants on this project, it needed a logo that shined along."

And both of them definitely shine, each having its own identity now more than ever, with the wolf's eye staring through the "O" in the webseries logo and the fierce looking wolf howling against the moon backdrop in the movie one.

Both logos will figure prominently from now on, both here on the site, the Facebook page as well as all future episodes for the webseries.

Speaking of which, two of them, "The Loner" and "The Suspect" are slated to begin production very very soon. Once production starts up, we will post pics here on this site.

Hope you like the new look to the site. New features and info will be coming shortly.

Hey there.

Things are continuing to move along behind the scenes with the MOTW WebSeries.

First, I had announced in a previous post that Shaun Robertson and his team at Films from MARS will be doing an episode written by yours truly. Well, the script has been completed and preproduction has begun.

The episode, officially called "The Suspect", has pretty much cast the main roles and locations have been set. Shaun tells me that filming should begin within the next couple of weeks. As soon as production begins, an update will be posted here on the site.

Next, I'm proud to announce the latest addition to the MOTW WebSeries roster. Sam Hampson and his crew from Hampson Productions have signed up to do an episode written by yours truly. More details on the episode will be coming soon.  Welcome aboard Sam!

Hey there.

This has been a busy time here in the MOTW Universe, with new addtitons and some news highlights:

- Proud to announce that two new members have been added to the MOTW WebSeries roster. First, Scott Watson and his team will be doing work for the webseries. They will be working on a teaser, a promo and a full episode. Not only that, but all three elements will be tied in together, a series first. Watch for more about this unique project in the coming weeks. In fact, in the Recent Video section, you can check out a brief interview with Garreth John, who will be playing the lead role in this project.

-Also joining the webseries roster is Hayden Harmon and his crew over at Red Crow Films. They will be working on an episode written by yours truly. I'd like to officially welcome both Scott and Hayden to the team.

-Earlier this week, the script for "The Loner", the upcoming episode from Matt Gerrish and his newly renamed Facetious Films group,  was completed.  Casting is almost done and production will be starting soon. Matt also plans to post a video update that will debut on this site shortly.

-Recently, production had begun on an upcoming episode from Brad Hamilton and JBH Media. Now from that team comes yet another first, an original song for the series.

Ben Cortez, who'll also be appearing in the yet-to-be-named episode, composed this original track for the episode, called "Dark Responsibitly". Take a listen:

Introducing MOTW Voices

Posted by MarkOne on April 22, 2011 at 3:10 AM Comments comments (0)

Hey there.

As long as this site's been around, it's been my job to basically report and comment on all that's been going on in the MOTW Universe.

But with the MOTW WebSeries, it's not only about me. It's also about the men and women who have worked on the various completed episodes and promos, as well as those who are hard at work on upcoming projects associated with the series.

Effective immediately, these people will now have a voice on the site.

I've created a new section on the site, entitled MOTW Voices. This will be the exclusive home for the directors, writers, actors and anyone else who has -- or will be-- working on the webseries.

Told in their own words (and when possible, photos and videos) you will have a full on look into their process behind the episodes that they're working on, what they think about being a part of the MOTW Universe, what does it feel like playing a werewolf (or a bad guy), etc.

To officially launch the section, I've dug out two posts from the old MOTW blog site, a mini section that I called "From The Director's Chair". You can read comments from Tony Gardner, who directed the third episode of the series, "The Garage", and Brad Fish, who did the second episode "The Message".

In the coming weeks, as production picks up on several episodes, you will read brand new comments in this section. The "From The Director's Chair" blogs will be revived, as well as additional new elements.

I urge every person who has contributed to the webseries to be a part of this. Let this be your outlet, your place, your voice to all that's going on behind the scenes and in front of the cameras. As I've told you countless times before, the MOTW WebSeries is a group effort. We're all in this together and all of you should be part of this site as well.

Thanks again and hope you enjoy the newest addition to the website.

This project is dedicated to my friend, Sam Ferguson. A cool guy who needs to let his hair down every once in a while.
